SHORT COURSE IN MARITIME AND RESOURCE CONFLICTS RESOLUTIONS MODEL THROUGH WISDOMS OF THE SASAKNESE LOCAL COMMUNITY

This course delves into the rich cultural heritage of the Sasak people and their traditional approaches to conflict resolution. Participants will explore the Sasaknese model of "tunjung tilah, empaq bau, aiq geneng" and its implications for sustainable maritime management. The course will examine how this local wisdom can be integrated with international legal frameworks to address contemporary challenges in marine resource management.

SHORT COURSE IN BIOLOGICAL SCIENCE: Ecology and Conservation of Biodiversity of Lombok Island

This program will be hosted by the Biological Science Study Program, Faculty of Mathematic and Sciences. The course will take place at the University of Mataram and a few of conservation destinations such as Kerandangan Forest, Senaru Hills (a part of Rinjani Geopark) and Gili Matra (Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, and Gili Meno). These sites are considered ecotourism spots enriched by their natural beauty with abundant animal biodiversity, especially birds (Kerandangan Forest and Senaru Hill), and marine biodiversity (Gili Matra).

SHORT COURSES IN BIOLOGY: Intertidal Invertebrate of Mandalika

This course will be managed by the Biology Education study program, Faculty of Teaching and Training Education. This program will introduce students to the intertidal invertebrate in the southern coast of Lombok Island. The special economic zone of Mandalika has a very wide intertidal area with high biodiversity that challenges students to explore. The intertidal area consists of seagrass beds (Kuta and Seger Beaches) and coral reefs.

This program will be hosted by the Educational Biology, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at the University of Mataram and Mt. Rinjani National Park. Mt. Rinjani National Park is an area of natural resource conservation and ecosystem which is utilized for research, science, education, culture, tourism, and recreation. This area is located on Lombok Island and is estimated to have very high floral diversity.
